Google may be in hot European water. The European Union (EU) has a law protecting European’s web privacy. They feel Google’s habit of saving your ip address violates EU law and must be changed. Google argues back, of course. Google covers the last few digits after 18 months when other search engines (Yahoo, Ask, & Microsoft) erase their IP lists after 18 months. Your IP is your ID and leads to your name and account.
There is a site called Ixquick that claims to erase all your info (IP & searches) within 48 hours. You may want to consider using them from here on out.
